Benjamin Studebaker, South Bend resident, who belongs to the famous Studebaker car manufacturing family tells us the story of what happened to the manufacturing industry in America and the broken promises.

For decades, economists have been arguing that eventually, technology would boomerang around and replace the manufacturing jobs. That is not what happened.

The manufacturing companies employed people in the order of 10k. The new tech companies employ only a fraction.

This also brings the question, what is our future and how to we make sure that everyone has dignity and freedom from poverty in their lives.
